Senator Barnabas Gemade defects from PDP to SDP

 

 

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman, Senator Barnabas Gemade has announced his defection from the PDP to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Giving reasons for his defection, Gemade who recently turned 70-year-old, claims that the state governor, Samuel Ortom, betrayed him over Benue North East senatorial ticket. He is seeking to run for another term.

GemAde was among the 14 APC senators that defected from APC to PDP in July.
